Sisterhood: A Poem by Sonam Paldron

In a tribe, she was born, gently cradled in dreams,
Till she crawled from the nest, into life’s spiral streams.
She walked with the dawn, on a path she designed,
Leaving footprints behind,
And her heart intertwined.

Through the wild, wild woods, where the forest was deep,
She felt the earth’s call, where the spirits still sleep.
With the scent of the pines and the pull of the land,
She longed for the source, to return by its hand.

By the fire’s soft glow, she found a cradle anew,
In a circle of tears, where new stories grew.
A tapestry woven with laughter and pain,
In a bond that was stronger than blood in her veins.

It was a tribe once more, where her spirit could soar,
They lifted her high, as she had been before.
She crawled, then she walked, with her kin by her side,
Together they journeyed, where love was their guide.

This poem was inspired by the belonging that was born amongst almost thirty global women as a result of an online spiritual retreat in 2024.
