In January of this year, a collective of extraordinary women was brought together by the inspiring initiative Begin Again Better, under the guidance of author, health coach, hypnotist, and entrepreneur Jim Curtis. Embarking on a journey of connection and celebration, our group consisting of women from diverse corners of the globe decided to gather in the heart of New York City for a special dinner. With one member residing on the Upper West Side and a few others very near the city, it seemed like the perfect venue to honor our shared journey and create lasting memories.
The excitement leading up to the dinner had been building for weeks. A lot of energy was poured into planning the perfect evening, with two of our friends taking on the task of searching for an ideal restaurant amidst the endless options that New York City offers. As the date quickly approached, I decided to join the event at the last minute, unaware that this decision would lead to an unexpected and deeply meaningful experience.
A few days before the trip, I found myself with an unusual but strong desire for a red thread bracelet. For years, I had noticed others wearing them, never really knowing what they were symbolic of, and suddenly I was intrigued. I explored several online options but couldn’t find one that resonated with me. Still, I had a feeling I would find one eventually.
On the evening of our dinner, the air was filled with joy. After weeks of texting and Zoom calls, it felt so good to finally be together in person. Although Jim resides in Brooklyn, he was traveling and couldn’t be there with us. But thanks to Kathy Yavari, who had begun assisting him with the growing demands of his work, he joined us by FaceTime. We passed Kathy’s phone around the table so Jim could speak with each of us individually. It was clear he was genuinely moved by the bond our group had formed. He later shared that he had never had a group stay so connected after a course ended. Somehow, even through a screen, his presence added something special to our evening.
In the midst of the celebration, a mutual friend from our group who couldn’t attend surprised us with gifts all the way from Spain. As I opened mine, I was stunned to find a red thread bracelet, the exact item I had recently been desiring. I sat there, speechless for a moment.
There is a long story of twists and turns behind the scenes that allowed all the puzzle pieces to fit together so that bracelet could be literally handed to me. Kathy, had been offered the incredible opportunity to be a facilitator at The World Happiness Summit in London. WOHASU is an organization dedicated to the goal of well being and happiness. While in Europe, she was able to meet up with a fellow group member, Doris Kavcic, in Madrid.
Unbeknownst to any of us, Doris had been collaborating with Gomez and Molina Jewelers in her beautiful hometown of Marbella, where she owns a luxury real estate company, to create a handmade bracelet. Doris chose the color red because in many cultures, a red bracelet is a symbol of attracting positive energy. The bead is covered with tiny engraved hearts to represent our group, which is scattered across the globe. And the pull cord connector is engraved with one heart, which represents self love.
This gift is not merely a bracelet. It is a profound symbol of synchronicity and serendipity. The timing of this gift, perfectly aligning with my recent wish and literally handed to me from Europe, was no coincidence. I know beyond a doubt that it is a powerful message from the universe. It affirmed a deep truth, that what we seek is often seeking us. It reinforced my belief that when we align our intentions with the rhythm or frequency of the universe, things often fall into place in ways that seem almost magical. Whether we frame it as the law of attraction, God’s will, manifestation, divine intervention, or serendipity, the essence of the experience is the same. The universe conspires to give us the desires of our heart.
I have worn it every day since that evening in New York. Each time I glance at it, I am reminded of the profound truth that our desires are not isolated or trivial, but part of a larger, harmonious design. I truly believe such moments are not coincidences, but glimpses of a deeper reality that connects us all. They remind us that we are not alone and that the universe is always working in ways that may not be immediately apparent, but are always in our favor. Even the simplest desires can be fulfilled in the most unexpected ways, and life is full of miraculous synchronicities. It is a beautiful reminder that the universe, with all its wonders, is constantly guiding us toward our deepest desires. We are divinely loved.
So the next time you find yourself longing for something or feeling a pull toward a particular desire, remember that what you seek may indeed be seeking you. Stay open to the unexpected gifts and miraculous moments life has to offer. Life’s most profound experiences often come when we least expect them, reminding us of the ever present connection between our hearts and the cosmos.
